within heaven's hierarchy there are mutliple tiers of angels, ranging from a standard angel to a seraphim. each class of angel has a variety of abilities and clerance within heaven, as well as the almighty's plan.

an Archangel is different than an archangel in that they are above the heirarchy. an Archangel is a divine messanger, working directly beneath the almighty to carry out their plans. ( or at least they were. )in the almighty's absence, gabriel has taken the title of Supreme Archangel, to assist in sheparding the heavenly host.
